AUTOMATIC DISCHARGE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

With the CG2 Series, heat-activated discharge is automatic at 175F. A control panel indicator lamp and pressure gauge provide "charge/discharge system status. Using FE-241 fire suppression agents, a Fireboy system provides near-instantaneous fire-response with maximum flame-quenching capability. With a Fireboy system, all are USCG approved, the fire suppression agent is released much quicker than any possible crew response, resulting in faster fire-out time and less damage. Also, quick-release within the closed engine compartment results in maximum flame extinguishment with minimum fire-exposure to crew and boat. Only "clean" suppression agents are used producing no residue, so it is often possible to restart a Fireboy-protected engine following a fire.
